VERO BEACH — Thorpe Sotheby's International Realty is handling the marketing and potential sale of what could be one of the most expensive and exclusive vacant parcels on the Eastern Seaboard.Michael Thorpe, principal of Thorpe Sotheby's International Realty, is the listing agent for a 5.5-acre oceanfront parcel in Bal Harbour.

The asking price for the parcel is $225 million, the highest priced property Thorpe has ever marketed.

¶The property has approximately 675,000 square feet of oceanfront frontage along Collins Avenue just north of Miami Beach.
It's just steps away from the ritzy and exclusive outdoor shopping mall Bal Harbour Shops — a family-owned mall that houses some of the nation's most exclusive merchants.

According to published reports, Donald Trump sold his luxury waterfront estate in West Palm Beach for $95 million in July.

Forbes magazine's most expensive home in 2008 was listed for $165 million in Beverly Hills by the Westside Estate Agency. The 6.5-acre mansion was built in 1926 and was the former home of newspaper mogul William Randolph Hearst.
